Feudal and monopolistic control by the elite of the political structures, natural resources, labor force and the whole economy. 4. Too much interference on governance by the religious, pulling the country down to dark ages mentality. 5. Over dependence of many economically unproductive family members on only one or a few productive ones. 6. Lack of industrialization and manufacturing (Exporting raw materials at low cost and importing finished products at high cost. 7. The economy is in the hands of people who lack nationalism and love for the country. 8. Too much love for imported goods that bleed the economy. 9. Brain drain: Exporting talented and skilled people who could help develop the country but instead help develop other countries. 10. Too many natural disasters that drain government and private funds.
