Traditions become traditions because they are effective and useful.

Traditions become traditions because they are effective and useful.
When those functions diminish or get outgrown,
traditions naturally die to give way
for new and effective ways to become the next traditions.
It is Quixotic to romantically revive dying or dead traditions.
But it is beneficial to document, record and archive
vanishing traditions, especially cultural ones, for information, reference, anchorage, mooring, guidance and inspiration.
This mission is served by researchers, historians, cultural preservation agents, museums, performing and other aristic groups, etc. dedicated to the preservation, re-popularization or promotion of anything traditional.
Meanwhile, everyone else should be allowed to move on,
to leave tradition in the museum or to reinterpret, recreate, reinvent and reform or refit it for today's needs.
In many ways, GANYAN DIN SA RELIGIOUS TRADITIONS.
