Q - Tito, aside from private devotion and listening to your online teachings, saan po kaya ako pwdeng mag-aral pa ng word of God?
A - WALA AKONG SPECIFIC NA MAI- REFER na teacher or school PAMANG-KIN....KASI ANG magandang PAG AARAL NG BIBLE AY PARANG SALAD: maraming sangkap.
First and always, you PRAYERFULLY and open-mindedly study the text.
Kasabay, you study tools and keys FROM OUTSIDE OF SCRIPTURE to understand it from/in a broader, deeper sense: study history, culture, literature, arts, symbolisms, psychology, psychiatry, sociology, archaeology, philosophy, theology, communication, etc.
Kasi DAPAT ARALIN ang text ORGANICALLY AND SYNTHETICALLY --- and as far as possible, with informed engagement with ancient texts in their original languages. (For this, unless you are a language expert, you'd need consultants or technical references.)
Wag umasa sa isa lang na teacher or school or lalu na ---church --- kasi matuturuan at mahahawahan ka ng
SECTARIAN AGENDA AND BIAS.
Halimbawa, pag nag-aral ka sa isang school na may nakabalandra agad na
STATE-MENT OF FAITH nila, you cannot expect a very objective and broad scholarship kasi committed na sila agad sa FAITH nila at sa promotion noon; carved in stone, set,
un-changeable na agad ang stand nila.
Parang sinasabi:
"BAWAL MAG-ISIP OUTSIDE OUR THEOLOGICAL BOX!
There could not be much objective and teachable scholarship in that.
SO SARILI, PERSONAL NA KAYOD, with help from many varied non-sectarian references and truly scholarly consultants.
That is why knowledge and skill in academic research are very, very necessary.
