The root word of kaSALAnan is "SALA"

Q - Paano po malalaman kung ang anu-

anong isipin/gawain ay "kasalanan"?
A - The root word of kaSALAnan is
"SALA"
= Missing the point/mark;
Not hitting /touching /reaching
/satisfying a target or a goal or a
standard.
Example, sa dart the goal is to hit the
center point /bull's eye.
according to WHOM? /BY WHAT standard?
---
Example:
UNDER THIS STANDARD, lahat ay makaSALAnan---kaya pinalaya ni Jesus ang mga Isaraelites from the Law. At inako pa nya ang penalty
[Romans 6:14... you are not under the law, but under grace.] Hayan tuloy, makaSALAnan na naman ang lahat by the standard of the (ancient Jewish) Law.
At marami, sukat nang sukat na naman ng kapwa by the regulations of that ancient Law. Result: "MakaSALAnan" muli ang every all! Guilty, afraid at nanghuhusga rin ng every all.
PARANG HINDI DUMATING, NAGTURO AT NAGLIGTAS from the Law SI JESUS!
---
So, pag may isyu ng "kaSALAnan", itanong muna: kaSALAnan
- ACCORDING TO WHOM?
- BY WHAT LAW /STANDARD?
Pag sinukat ka by the ancient Jewish Law, tandaan: Jesut sets free from the Law. And if Jesus sets you free, you will be free (from judgment/condemnation) indeed!
Ang sukatan na after/by Jesus is
the New Law = LOVE.
Mag-ingat-ingat din kung saan Law nakikisilong ---kung sa anong "citizenship" nakiki-saling-pusa.
Our citizenship is not in ancient Israel but in heaven. (Philippians 3.20)

Do Not Kill Yourself With Worry 💖 ED LAPIZ

Holiness? Perfection?

Q- Pano po masusunod ang commands sa Bible na "Be holy for I am holy." and "Be perfect as your heavenly Father is perfect." ? Para pong imposible!

A - The words HOLY and PERFECT must be understood in their original, contextual and functional use.
As used in Leviticus and in the gospels, they do not mean sinlessness nor moral perfection!
Holiness in the OT means not being contaminated by what ancient Israelites considered as unclean like unclean foods, objects, diseases, menstruation, etc. Such standards of holiness were time-place-culture and context-bound, meaning hindi universal for all peoples, especially for non-Israelites and not for all times and situations!
Yun namang PERFECTion means loving people, even enemies, as God and Jesus do. Hindi yun tungkol sa sinlessness or moral perfection!
Therefore, possible and doable!
